The region of Mauricie in Quebec is an ideal place for hiking enthusiasts. Indeed, the Mauricie region has a lot to offer in this regard. It is a beautiful place for family outings or for a simple stroll with friends. There are also many quality cycling trails in the region, including the famous Sentier des Voyageurs which stretches over 40 km between La Tuque and Saint-Michel-des-Saints.
Even though summer is a popular season in the region, there are still many activities to do. For example, if you stay in one of our cottages for rent in the Mauricie region, be sure to include a visit to Lake Miron and Lake Maskinongé in your itinerary. In fact, enjoy a family picnic on the shores of one of these lakes. To do so, you can use one of our kayaks or paddleboards available when renting one of our cottages for rent.
In addition to outdoor activities, you can also have fun indoors, as many museums and shows await you in the Mauricie. To learn more about the history of the region, visit the Musée des miniatures in the municipality of Saint-Tite. If you prefer to be on stage, go see a show at the Théâtre de la Sauvagère in Shawinigan.
