The beaver cottage

The Beaver is a magnificent rustic and luxurious cottage at the same time. Rustic by its design and its ancestral construction method, but luxurious by the nobility of the materials used and the equipment offered. Indeed, we used red pine, white pine, black walnut, acacia, granite, stone and other noble materials for its construction. In addition, all modern facilities are available, such as running water, air conditioning, internet, laundry, etc.

Chalet Castor is located on a terrace directly in front of the St-Maurice River. This 8 meters high terrace allows you to have a superb view on the river. The construction of the chalet Castor was completed in July 2021. This cottage is entirely built of red pine logs of 25 cm in diameter, piece on piece, we can say that the cottage is alive, because the logs will move slightly for a few years, the time that the drying process ends. 

This cottage is built on two levels. On the first floor, 20 feet by 30 feet, you will find the common room, which is the kitchen/living room, a bedroom with a double bed and a full bathroom. Access the mezzanine via a charming spiral staircase made entirely of white pine. On the mezzanine is the master bedroom with a superb view of the river. The master bedroom, with a queen size bed, offers a romantic and warm cachet by the strong presence of wood. 

Chalet Castor has a private and intimate garden with an outdoor fire pit. In addition, the Castor cottage has a large covered gallery of 8 feet by 30 feet. On this gallery, you can enjoy the view of the river and the valley while resting in a hot tub made of Colombian cedar.
